There is no mystery without decorum and discretion. Being authentically connected with your partner does not mean that all must be revealed. Too often I see women completely throw away any element of mystery they once had within their relationship. Being real, open, and vulnerable with your partner is a beautiful and integral part of a healthy relationship. However, there is an intersection between mystery and manners and both have a place in marriage.

Manners are a way of showing another that you respect them, that you value them, and that you care about their opinion of you. There is a reason why we wouldn't wear our pajamas to go meet a Queen. Manners do not intend fakeness. Manners intend respect. Having good manners requires making use of the art of mystery.
